Two projects delivered by our North Midlands & Yorkshire team were recognised at Insider Media’s East Midland Property Dinner 2025.

Nottingham Trent University’s Design & Digital Arts Building received the Design Excellence Award. This project state-of-the-art nine storey building was designed by Nottingham-based architects CPMG and completed in June 2024. The building provides 5,300m2 of new teaching and creative learning space and is a striking addition to the city’s skyline.

The Special Recognition Award was given to Vaillant Live (formally Becketwell Live). Our team completed this project in January 2025 for client, St James Securities. The judges commented on the crucial role the venue plays in the regeneration of Derby, providing major economic, community and cultural benefits to the city and the wider region, plus the transformational impact the scheme has on its surroundings.

Speaking about the awards, Gus Kedzior, Regional Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to see our projects honoured with these awards. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our teams and partners, from pre-construction all the way through to completion. With Vaillant Live, we are especially proud to have delivered such and impactive scheme in our home county.”

B+K client, St James Securities, received the Developer of the Year award for the thoughtful design of Valliant Live which elevates the city, playing a major part in the redevelopment and the seamless collaboration between with architects, Corstophine + Wright and Derby City Council.

As sponsors of the Future Ambition Award, Bowmer + Kirkland Regional Construction Director, Christian Parnell had the pleasure of presenting Homes England with the accolade for Broad Marsh. This exciting project will see the former Nottingham City Centre shopping centre transformed into homes, retail, office and community space.
