Climate change is one of the most critical problems facing the world today and through our commitment to a NetZero target as part of our sustainability strategy, we are marking an important step on our climate action journey. We are committed to ensuring sound environmental practices across our construction projects, our Group Businesses and also our suppliers and sub-contractors.
We have achieved The Planet Mark certification by showing excellent practice in sustainability and have committed to achieving our target of NetZero carbon by 2040.
Our management processes and operational procedures have been developed to prevent pollution and enable compliance with environmental laws, regulations, codes of practice and other relevant obligations.
We operate and maintain a certified Environmental Management System that complies with ISO 14001: 2015, and which forms part of an Integrated Management System which complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
We are proud of the steps our supply chain take to align with our environmental and sustainability objectives and we encourage open engagement on environmental challenges and welcome innovative solutions to maximise compliance. We work with them to track and report carbon emissions data to support performance monitoring and identify opportunities for improvement. We also expect proactive steps to improve efficiency in fuel, material, and water use, and to minimise waste through recycling, reuse, and sustainable resource choices.
