Frameworks

We have gained places on national and regional procurement frameworks

These include major frameworks for the Department for Education, Crown Commercial Services, the Ministry of Defence and the Defence and Infrastructure Organisation.

Since joining our first framework in 2013 we have delivered more than £1.4bn worth of projects including numerous award-winning schemes. Our success is based on our commitment to customer satisfaction, the national management of schemes to ensure consistency of approach, and localised delivery which ensures that social value is maximised and sustainability goals are reached.

Our success is down to the hard work of many people. We have proved our worth as a successful framework contractor through our work with the Department for Education. Bowmer + Kirkland is now well established as a public sector contractor alongside our extensive experience for private clients.

Department for Education

Offsite Framework
In January 2020, the DfE launched the £3bn Offsite Framework, also known as the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC1) Framework. It is the next step in the evolution of school buildings and uses the next generation in standardised school design. It can be used for procurement by local authorities, dioceses and academy trusts.

Construction Framework
The construction framework is available to local authorities, schools, academies, FE colleges, universities, and other public bodies which provide educational and ancillary community facilities in England. The construction framework may also be used by other contracting authorities for the purposes of delivering their requirements in terms of wider publicly funded non-education buildings in England.

Department for Education Framework Project
The building itself was delivered to the highest of standards, exactly to the specification of the brief and exceeded the expectations of all stakeholders. This was matched by the excellence of the landscaping and outside areas which realised the architect’s vision for providing functional and exciting external space within a restricted and compromised physical footprint. Above all else, B+K’s approach to client engagement was outstanding. During a project beset by external challenges, they were, at all times, flexible, responsive, adaptable, positive and inherently collaborative in nature. They sought, and found, solutions to a myriad of complex problems and were approachable and measured whilst doing so.

North West Construction Hub Framework Project
The project team at B+K have been really easy to work with, and this project was a really great example of partnering in practice. Everything the team said they would do - they did, and they were really transparent in providing backup or evidence throughout. I’d quite happily work with B+K again, it’s been a very positive experience.
