Bowmer + Kirkland Ltd – our construction division – has pledged to support ex-service personnel by signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant.
The Covenant is a promise from the nation to those who have served our country to ensure they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged. From an employer’s point of view it is recognising the value of forces personnel – both Regular, Reservists and Veterans – who contribute to our business.
During the past five years we have enabled opportunities for 49 ex-forces operatives and currently employ four in our North East and Scotland region, three in our Central region and one in our Industrial and Logistics Division. We also work with a company in the North East that has a bespoke training programme for ex-forces staff.
