Supply Chain Events

news image

North West, North East and Scotland, Central and North Midlands and Yorkshire, Southern and Industrial and Logistics all welcomed suppliers to venues on their patch. The events were designed to inform and educate suppliers not only about how important they are to us and that they are an extension of B+K, but also about our changing client base and the legal requirements and industry standards that need to be adhered to.

The days began with a regional update and insights into our pipeline of work from regional directors, followed by talks from the departmental managers covering health and safety, modern slavery, quality, social value, sustainability and mental health and wellbeing. The day offered an interactive Q&A session and plenty of time for networking over coffee and lunch.

The effort paid off and we were delighted to have received recognition for the events at the Planet Mark Awards 2024, winning the Supply Chain Engagement Award which recognises an organisation that has taken impressive steps to engage with their supply chain and stakeholders making it an integral part of their sustainability programme, the award was a culmination of our to proactively engage our supply chain in our efforts and to work closely with them to supply sustainability data as part B+K’s sustainability activities.
