Derbyshire businesses once again dug deep and raised an astonishing amount for Marie Curie UK at one of the highlight charity events of the year. The Derbyshire Brain Game, sponsored by Bowmer + Kirkland for the tenth year, raised a whopping £65,782 for the UK’s leading end of life charity. Thirty-four businesses hosted tables at the event which featured an excellent three-course dinner, an eight-round quiz including questions on the East Midlands, STEM, leading ladies, music and food and drink, a raffle and an auction for things that money can’t buy. Winners of the quiz were the team from the University of Derby with the B+K team coming coming a creditable 9th. Held at Pride Park Stadium, the Derbyshire Brain Game has raised more than £500,000 for the charity over the last eleven years! An amazing achievement.
