The Crown Estate (TCE) has appointed us for the development of Fosse Park in Leicestershire - we built the original shopping destination in 1989. The development scheme will see TCE investing £155m into the shopping park and work will begin on April 1. It will include providing nine new retail units and associated car parking on Fosse Park West and a redeveloped food court creating 16 new food units and four retail units. There will also be a new pedestrian link between the existing scheme and the Fosse Park West extension. The park currently attracts more than 11 million shoppers a year. Mike Bell, Senior Asset Manager at The Crown Estate, said: "We are excited for construction to begin and look forward to working closely with our contractors and retailers to build on the success of Fosse Park, as a brilliant place for visitors, shopppers and the local community to enjoy." Some of our staff who worked on the original scheme 30 years ago are still with us and it's great for them to see how the development is growing. We are looking forward to working with all our partners on this scheme." The investment also includes modernising existing store facades and improvements to the car park and public realm.
