Nanaksar Primary is a four-form entry school catering for 840 pupils and operated by the Guru Nanak Sikh Multi Academy Trust.

This project was constructed on the eastern side of the existing Guru Nanak Sikh Academy site, the location of former temporary classroom accommodation and playing fields. The main school building structure was steel frame supported by concrete pad foundations.

The façade was constructed with full height brickwork and feature cladding panels, with aluminium glazing and canopies to the entire south elevation. The roof construction was a combination of green sedum roof to lower-level roof and single ply membrane to the high-level roof, with a full solar panel array provided. Internally the ground floor delivered a kitchen facility, a main hall, a studio and small PE hall along with KS1 classrooms and toilet facilities. Two separate precast concrete stairs and a lift provide access to the upper levels, where KS2 classrooms, a library, staff rooms, food technology and ICT suites were provided.
