Harwell Quad Three

Share project

Quad three is the third of four similar buildings on the Harwell Science park. With a focus on flexible laboratory and office environments, Quad Three will meet and exceed the strong demand from domestic and international science markets, building on Harwell’s success in cluster sectors such as Space, Energy, Health, and Quantum.

We will deliver a new three-storey 74,951sqft lab-enabled office building for Advanced Research Clusters (ARC). The building champions the use of flexible floor plates allowing future tenants to rent varying sizes of laboratory and write-up space. The scheme will benefit from a striking façade, consisting of protruding fins, large span glass and fritting.

The scheme is sustainability focused, targeting BREEAM Excellent and an embodied carbon target of <600kgCO2e/m2. As a sustainability focused contractor, B+K have worked with our supply chain and delivered the RC frame with an impressive 70% of GGBS.

Once complete, this new facility will extend the campus ability to delivery cutting-edge research, emerging technologies, and world-class talent and part of a number of projects that are working on within the UK’s evolving life sciences sector.
