Designed to bring social, educational and economic benefits to the local community through partnership with EdCity, a not-for-profit partnership between national education charity Ark and Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
Delivered over two phases, this inspiring scheme comprises the amalgamation of two primary schools, upgrade of nursery and Adult Education Centre facilities, a new Youth Centre, new housing and a nine storey office block that will be a new HQ for Ark and partner organisations, with the remaining seven floors let out to other similar companies.
The public realm works include a new public square and a pedestrian and cycle route, linking the existing residential areas in the west to the redeveloped White City business district and transport hub in the east. This will dramatically improve transport and accessibility for the community, halving the time it currently takes to walk from the White City Estate to the nearest underground station.
Phase one comprised sectional completions: October 2023 (school and some of the residential units), November 2023 (Youth Zone) and April 2024 (office block).
