Em-azing London half marathon for the Lighthouse Charity

Emma chose the Lighthouse Foundation after witnessing the incredible impact the charity has on individuals through their emotional and financial support at times of crisis, the impact on construction sites through the ”make it visible” campaign and through its wellbeing education via webinars and online learning academy.

Speaking about the training involved and the event itself Emma said: "I am not the quickest and certainly not a natural runner but the routine of training regularly for an event and getting outside is really important for my own wellbeing. Here’s how I started training with the “Jeffing” technique Jeffing: The Run Walk Technique | Great Run; Jeffing: How to master the run-walk method.

“As for the event itself, I cannot say how much this event is the best event I have taken part in, there are choirs and entertainment for the runners and spectators as we work our way round the course. Family could see me at multiple locations to give me a boost of energy and just epic support from everyone all the way round.

“I am so pleased to be supporting the Lighthouse Charity, which is an organisation that Bowmer + Kirkland are prolific supporters of, and it is an invaluable resource to both our office and site staff.”
